This is not about Utopia

Utopias are for the young, those with the desire to reform the world and the energy to do it. Or rather the naivete to think they can do it.

I used to be one of those.

Then I realized that many of the world's great Utopians have been ruthless in their pursuit of the perfect world, even willing to kill those who did not share their vision.

I also realized that most Utopias, like "Heaven", would be rather boring.

This blog is about changing the little things - what we are thinking of when we say "Why can't the government do this...? -It would be so simple." or "Why can't they make something easy to use? Etc. etc.

When you say those words, "Why can't..." write to me.

These are the seeds of a vision. We can get nowhere by complaining. We need a vision to draw us into a better future.
